These Terms of Service explain the rules for using the SaltBricks website and buying from our online store. Please read them before placing an order.

Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

This website and online store operate under the name SaltBricks. In these Terms, "SaltBricks," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the business operating this store. 

These Terms apply to everyone who visits the site, creates an account, places an order, or submits content to us. They cover the website and everything we offer through it, including products, information, features, and tools (together, the "Services").

By browsing the site, using the Services, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Other policies referenced here, such as our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy, are part of your agreement with us.

Eligibility and Use of the Website

Who can use the Services

You must be at least the age of majority in your state, province, or country of residence to place an order. If you allow a minor in your household to use the Services on a device you own or manage, you take responsibility for that use.

Your information and account

To browse or buy, we may ask for your email address, billing details, and shipping address. You confirm that the information you give us is accurate, current, and complete, and that you are entitled to provide it.

If you have an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. You may not sell, transfer, or license accounts to anyone else.

Acceptable use

You may use the Services for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • break any applicable law or regulation.
  • infringe our intellectual property rights or anyone else's.
  • harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate any person or entity
  • submit false or misleading information
  • send spam, junk mail, or unsolicited promotional material through the Services
  • upload or transmit viruses or other malicious code
  • collect other people's personal information
  • scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract content from the site
  • interfere with or bypass the site's security features
  • reproduce, resell, or exploit any part of the Services without our written permission.

Products and Product Information

We work to describe and photograph our products accurately, including descriptions, specifications, and images. Descriptions may be updated at any time, and we may limit quantities or discontinue a product.

Some things are outside our control:

  • Screen differences. Colors and finishes can look different depending on your device and display settings.
  • Availability. A product shown on the site may become unavailable, and we may limit sales by person, region, or jurisdiction.

Nothing on this site is intended as medical, health, or therapeutic advice, and product descriptions should not be read as making such claims.

Orders and Order Acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. It is not a finished sale until we accept it.

  • Confirmation. We accept an order when we send a confirmation of acceptance, and only after your payment has been received and processed.
  • Declined or cancelled orders. We may decline or cancel an order, in whole or in part. Examples include stock problems, payment issues, suspected fraud, or an error in pricing or product information. If we do, we will try to contact you using the email, billing address, or phone number on the order.
  • Changes and cancellations by you. Check your order carefully before submitting. Once an order is accepted, we may not be able to change or cancel it.
  • Personal use. Purchases are for your own personal or household use, not for resale or export. 

Pricing and Payment

  • Current prices apply. You pay the price in effect when you place the order, as shown in your order confirmation email.
  • What's not included. Unless stated otherwise, displayed prices do not include taxes, shipping, handling, customs, or import charges.
  • Changes. Prices, discounts, and promotions can change without notice. Promotions may have their own terms, and if those conflict with these Terms, the promotion terms apply to that promotion.
  • Online vs. other channels. Prices here may differ from prices in physical stores or on third-party sites.
  • Payment details. By paying, you confirm that the payment information is accurate, that you are authorized to use the payment method, and that you will pay all charges at the posted prices, including any applicable shipping and taxes. Please keep your account and payment details up to date so we can complete your order.
  • Pricing errors. If we find an obvious pricing error, we may correct it and cancel affected orders. If you have already paid for a cancelled order, we will refund it.

Shipping and Delivery

Shipping details, including rates, regions, and timing, are in our [Shipping Policy]. Please review it before ordering.

In summary:

  • Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.
  • Delays caused by carriers, customs processing, or events outside our control are not something we can be held responsible for.
  • Ownership and risk of loss pass to you once we hand the order to the carrier. 

If your order arrives damaged or is significantly delayed, contact us using the details in Section 22, and we will review it under the Shipping Policy and Refund Policy.

Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges

Returns and exchanges are handled solely under our Refund Policy. That policy sets out what can be returned, time limits, and how refunds are processed. Nothing in these Terms adds to or changes it.

Natural Product Variation

Himalayan salt is a natural material, so no two pieces are identical. You may see differences between the product images and what you receive, such as:

  • shades of pink, white, or orange.
  • surface texture.
  • crystal patterns and veining.
  • mineral markings or small irregularities.

These differences are normal for a natural product and are not, by themselves, defects. They do not limit your right to a product that matches its description in substance, or to a remedy if an item arrives damaged, broken, or materially different from what was listed. If you think your item falls into that category, contact us, and we will review it under the Refund Policy.

Website Content and Accuracy

We try to keep the site accurate, but information about products, pricing, promotions, shipping charges, transit times, and availability may occasionally contain typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. We may correct errors and update information at any time, including after an order has been placed. If a correction materially affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you.

Content on the site is provided for general information. Please don't rely on it as a substitute for professional advice.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Services is owned by us, our affiliates, or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. This includes text, images, product photography, graphics, video, audio, site design, and the SaltBricks name, logos, and slogans.

You may use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, distribute, modify, republish, download, store, or create derivative works from site content without our written permission. Using SaltBricks trademarks without permission is not allowed.

Shopify names and logos are trademarks of Shopify, and other names and logos on the site belong to their respective owners.

Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may include links to third-party websites or tools, some of them embedded in the site. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, policies, or practices. Optional third-party tools are offered "as is" and "as available," and you use them at your own risk. Please read the relevant terms and privacy policy before using any third-party site or tool.

Complaints about third-party products or services should go to that third party.

Shopify

SaltBricks.us is powered by Shopify, which provides the platform that runs our store. Purchases are made directly with us. Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of sales between you and us, including injury, damage, or loss resulting from products you buy. You release Shopify and its affiliates from claims arising from those transactions to the extent permitted by law.

Reviews, Feedback, and Submissions

If you send us reviews, comments, suggestions, or other content ("Feedback"), you give us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, edit, publish, and display it for any purpose, including promoting and improving the Services. We do not owe you compensation and are not obliged to keep Feedback confidential or respond to it.

You confirm that you own or have the right to share your Feedback, that it doesn't violate anyone's rights, that it contains nothing unlawful, abusive, obscene, or malicious, and that you have disclosed any compensation or incentive you received for it. Do not use a false email address or pretend to be someone else.

We may review and remove Feedback at our discretion if it is unlawful, offensive, threatening, defamatory, or otherwise breaches these Terms.

Privacy

How we collect and use your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Because our store is hosted on Shopify, Shopify also processes some information about how you use the site. Your information may be shared with service providers located in other countries. The Privacy Policy has the details.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or free of errors. We do not warrant that the content is complete or useful for any particular purpose.

These disclaimers apply only as far as the law allows. Some places do not allow certain warranty exclusions, and nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, SaltBricks.us, its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, contractors, and service providers (and Shopify and its affiliates) are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, savings, or data, arising from your use of the Services or products bought through them.

This section does not exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited in your jurisdiction. 

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and hold harmless SaltBricks, Shopify, and our respective affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and service providers from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of law or another party's rights, or your misuse of the Services. We will notify you of any such claim. We may control its defense and settlement, but we will not agree to a settlement that imposes non-monetary obligations on you without your consent.

Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the Services at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or are misusing the site. You remain responsible for any amounts owed up to the date of termination. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination will do so, including those on intellectual property, feedback, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law.

Severability

If a provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the extent the law allows, and the remaining provisions stay in effect.

Waiver and Entire Agreement

Not enforcing a provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce it later. These Terms, together with the policies referenced in them, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services and replace any earlier version. Ambiguities will not be interpreted against the party that drafted them.

You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign ours.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you with Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. 

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the revised version on this page. The Last Updated date at the top shows when the current version took effect. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law. By continuing to use the Services after an update, you accept the revised Terms. Orders already accepted are governed by the Terms in effect when they were placed.
